WORSHIP
WITH US
SUNDAY SERVICE
Black Isle East Church of Scotland meets at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning in the Rosemarkie church building.
The church gathers as a community who through worship are informed and encouraged for life and service around the Word of God.
TEACHING
From Advent to Epiphany and from Lent to Easter we follow the Church of Scotland’s suggested bible readings for weekly worship. At other times we have thematic series that cover a range of books and topics from both the Old and New Testament.
CURRENT FOCUS
Eastertide 2026
The Lord is risen -
Let's Reset our Faith in the Risen Jesus'
The lectionary readings for Eastertide
draw on Matthew's gospel.
These readings push us to think more deeply about Jesus death and resurrection and our response in faith.
After Easter, we will be looking at the book of Acts from chapter 17 onwards. This year, with the building renovations in view, we will continue to think about how our congregation - looking forward to having a more flexible physical space to welcome the community - is still present as 'living stones' and witnesses to 'the good news of the kingdom' in the wider neighbourhood.

ALL AGES WELCOME
We use modern versions of the bible and each week there is an All-Age focus around a contemporary reading and song with other elements of worship also reflecting our modern context.
Services at key moments in the year like Advent, Christmas, Palm Sunday, Easter, Pentecost and Harvest also have a strong All-Age worship component.
The “Kids Korner” group welcomes youngsters who attend on Sunday mornings.
MUSIC
Our music includes traditional, contemporary and historical hymns, psalms and 'spiritual songs' drawn from the Church Hymnary 4 and Mission Praise, with other materials chosen from the CCLI resources and the legacy of church music.
Our worship is enhanced by our music group, Make a Joyful Noise (MAJN), who also prepare additional music for seasonal services and other events.
Music is supported by a new digital organ, an electric piano and, occasionally, other instruments.

COMMUNION
We celebrate Communion four times a year – January, April, July and October – with occasional informal communions.
